Carpet And Upholstery Cleaning Services: Make Your Car Look Like New Again

When you want to improve the look of your car, most people only focus on the outside. When you go to an automatic car wash, the exterior is the only thing that gets clean. However, if you really want to improve the look of your car and get it looking like new again, you should really consider a carpet and upholstery cleaning service. A carpet and upholstery cleaning service will clean your carpeting and upholstery in your car to make it look like you just bought it.

Is Your Car’s Interior Dirty And Ugly?

Constant riding in your car can leave the carpet and upholstery looking old and worn out. Especially if dirt or mud from your or your passengers’ shoes gets on the carpet, it can begin to look really dirty and ugly. If you eat in your car, you can get grease, crumbs and more on your carpet and upholstery. This leaves your car looking like a rolling dumpster before too long. That’s why it would be a great idea to take your car to a carpet and upholstery cleaning service. These professionals do much more than simply vacuum the interior of your car. They go into great detail to make your carpet and upholstery looking as if you just stepped into a brand new car.

In fact, some carpet and upholstery cleaning services are so good, you won’t even recognize your car when they’re done. You’ll be glad to hand them the money they deserve when you see how they can literally transform your car. With many people having such hectic lives, we often spend more time in our cars than any other place. This leaves our cars filled with fast food bags, crumbs, dirt, spilled drinks and more. Not only does this leave your car looking nasty, but it can get to smell pretty bad, too. This can affect your mood and can make it so that you no longer want to spend any time in your car. Also, you can forget about giving anyone a ride. You’ll feel too embarrassed to let them see the inside of your car.

After a carpet and upholstery cleaning service, however, you will invite anyone in your car. You will love the way it looks and smells inside your car and you’ll probably want to drive everywhere because it will feel as if you just got a new car. So, stop spending time in your rolling dumpster and get yourself to a carpet and upholstery cleaning service. You won’t regret it.

How To Clean Upholstery

How To Clean Upholstery

Upholstery Cleaning – Tips To Keep Your Furniture Cleaner

Most people struggle when deciding which type of furniture they want to purchase for their home, do they want leather furniture or upholstered furniture, what color should they choose, and what style will best suit their decor. The decision is agonizing because the hope is to hold onto your furniture for years to come. So why do you think some people only get a few short years out of their furniture before it looks worn out, while others can make it last for 20 years, and still look new. The answer is proper upholstery cleaning, furniture cleaning is an integral part of maintaining your furniture.

The problem is most people don’t know the proper techniques to clean a sofa. Before you attempt to clean a sofa remember, upholstery cleaning of any kind is much more effective if the furniture is properly cared for on a daily basis. Vacuuming the furniture on a regular basis is the most important starting point in upholstery cleaning. Those fancy tools that came with your vacuum are fantastic for getting into those crevices and are the perfect tools to clean a sofa. Regular vacuuming will keep the build up of dirt and dust in your furniture to a minimum.

Another essential step in upholstery cleaning is to use a damp, almost dry cloth, to dust the arms and head areas of your sofa and chairs. One of the most difficult areas for a professional to clean on your sofa is the head and arms. The reason these areas tend to look so worn is the oils from the scalp and skin, our skin produces natural oils to keep us from getting dry and cracked, it’s fantastic in the dry winter but terrible on furniture. If you look closely, at a lot of people’s furniture you will notice a worn area around the head and armrests, dusting with the cloth regularly will prevent this from happening to your new furniture.

Remember when you start your furniture cleaning aside from vacuuming and dusting, you should also take your pillows and cushions outside and beat them every once and a while. This will help to loosen up any dust particles inside the cushions that your vacuum can’t reach, and when you put the furniture back rotate the pillows and cushions. People are creatures of habit and we tend to have our favourite spot to sit in, the problem is if you don’t rotate your cushions you will notice a prominent wear pattern on the cushions and pillows that are used most frequently.

Lastly, if you want your furniture to look beautiful for years to come, keep your food, newspaper and pets off your furniture. If you do spill some food or drink on your sofa please be careful with the upholstery cleaning. The most important thing to know about how to clean upholstery is do not over wet the fabric. Along with grease and oil, a water stain is also extremely difficult to remove from fabric. In addition, when you are furniture cleaning always blot stains don’t rub them, rubbing at them will set the stain into the fabric.

In addition to regular maintenance, having your furniture professionally cleaned will ensure its beauty and longevity. Make sure that the professional you use is skilled at how to clean upholstery, it’s essential that they use different techniques for different fabrics. Certain fabrics require steam cleaning for the furniture cleaning, while others require a low moisture technique, and some delicate fabrics need dry cleaning methods.

Following the tips in this article will ensure that your brand new furniture stay new looking for years to come.

As a result people living in your home can develop health problems such as allergies and breathing problems. When you have your upholstery cleaned you will notice a drastic improvement in the air quality and consequently you will be able to get rid of the root cause of the spread of various health problems.

Sad but true, most people never avail professional upholstery cleaning services, primarily because they are unaware of the implications of dirty upholstery. Health experts suggest that upholstery cleaning should be conducted once every two years. This is the bear minimum standard although a yearly cleaning would do much better. By getting your upholstery cleaned at the hands of the professionals at regular intervals you will benefit by good air quality and great looking furniture. Furthermore if you have the same cleaning company give your upholstery a fabric protection application that will make it immune to developing permanent stains.

The same goes for offices and other professional institutions which will have to compensate their employees for medical care if they fall sick due to the poor air quality that arises because of dirty upholstery.

Carpet cleaning is not rocket science and you can conduct it your self. However you need to be very careful in selecting the right products which will clean your upholstery effectively without causing any damage. This can be quite a time consuming job which is why it is much better to render professional services. How can I clean my mattress cover with upholstery shampoo?

it says clean only with upholstery shampoo. how can I do it?
its a all around cover, that zips up around the yellow foam mattress, can i just use the washing machine? what will happen when I do?
it wont fit in the washing machine……….

You could take it to the laudromat and wash on warm. Most laudromats have larger washing machines. Take it home and hang outside to dry.

what’s a better cleaner: steam cleaners or regular carpet/upholstery cleaner?

I want to clean the upholstery on my car and don’t know which way to go.

the steam cleaner does a lot better, and it dries them up as you go the other one leaves the seats a little damp, and sometimes they will sour before they get a chance to dry back out, good luck with it.

Carpet And Upholstery Cleaners

Carpet And Upholstery Cleaners
Cleaning my off white Ikea Klobo couch!! HELP!!!?

So I I recently purchase the Ikea Klobo couch off someone for a great price. I noticed a few stains on it so I decided to go to the store and look for carpet/upholstery cleaners. I found Woolite Portable Oxy Deep and thought GREAT IDEA…boy was I WRONG!! Not only was the liquid pouring out of the holder all over but now that is is drying it left nice lighter white stains on my couch with dark rings around them. Idk what to do!!! Is there a way to clean the whole couch without running into this disaster??? I tried a soapy water and NOTHING. I’m thinking maybe the couch is dirty and needs a good cleaning. hence the lighter spots where I scrubbed?..PLEASE HELP! Idk what next steps to take without completely ruining my new couch:(

Lynsey,
I think your couch can be cleaned by using household steamer. Dark rings around your original stain are indicating dirt accumulation. Generally, when you attempt to clean the spot stain, you need to apply blotting, not scrubbing.
It is always best to use clean rag, usually of white color, apply chemical onto cloth itself and then just blot the affected area. That way you ensure chemical doesn’t dissolve the dirt and spreads it even further (“dark rings around spots”). Hope this helps :)

Upholstery Cleaning Equipment

Upholstery Cleaning Equipment

Portable Carpet Cleaning Equipment Benefits

Whether a small area of carpet or a huge commercial rug, portable carpet cleaning equipment comes in a variety of sizes and uses to fit your needs. Whether it is a spotter machine for small areas or one with a capacity of several gallons of cleaners, there’s one to tackle the job.

The keyword in portable carpet cleaning equipment is portable. There are different interpretations of what portable actually means. To some it means being able to pick a unit up in one hand and move it from place to place. To others, especially professional carpet cleaners, it means mounting to a vehicle and moving to different jobsites for use.

For small jobs requiring only a spotting type of portable carpet cleaning equipment, having the machine, whether a scrubber or extractor, can be portable enough to carry in the truck of a car. On the other end of the portable carpet cleaning equipment specter, are the units, which are truck-mounted, such as Stanley Steamer, which uses truck-mounted equipment for portability.

Residential And Commercial Equipment Can Be Moved

For home use by the homeowner, portable carpet cleaning equipment may include a steam cleaner with a built-in extractor to clean and remove cleaning liquids at the same time. Otherwise, two pieces of equipment may be used. One for scrubbing, or steam cleaning, and a separate extractor to remove moisture, allowing carpets to dry much quicker.

Commercial applications require the same type equipment, usually built for heavy duty use to last longer while being used more frequently. For some uses larger equipment, usually on wheels and some with self-propelled abilities, can be transported in a truck, unloaded for use, classifying them as portable carpet cleaning equipment.

However, portability is a subjective name as smaller units can be used to spot clean commercial carpets and larger units for whole-carpet cleansing. The homeowner will want portable carpet cleaning equipment that can be used and stored in a closet. In addition to scrubbers and steam cleaners, other portable carpet cleaning equipment include blowers to help dry the carpet and bucket heaters to keep liquids used in steam cleaners hot during use. These are especially helpful for large jobs involving larger portable carpet cleaning equipment.

Choosing the right equipment will depend on the job that is being attempted along with the ability of the user to use that equipment. Check around different companies and you’re sure to find the right portable carpet cleaning equipment to help you out.
